Funa Gas
This Tree grows all over all the islands in Maldives. In height it grows 10m long. It has a good wood. We usually use this wood for boat building. Its wood is a hard strong wood. Its leaves shape look likes oval Shape. Its color is ever green. It causes some diseases like the tree’s leaves become black and white and also one disease in Dhivehi we call this gurudu Bali. It is a common tree in Maldives.
Anbu Gas
Mango tree is one of the most common trees in Maldives. So it grows all over the islands in Maldives. It has a good shade and it is soft wooded tree from this tree we can get a fruit called Mango. Mostly we eat them when it becomes ripe. But some people used to eat them when it is raw. In this fruit there is a seed. But we do not eat it. So we can dig a well and put it there so there comes a new plant or mango tree. Mainly no disease causes to this tree. And also mainly nothing is done by its wood.
Dhiggaa Gas
Dhiggaa gas grows all over the islands in Maldives. And also it is a very common tree in Maldives. It also can grow 5m long in its height. It has a very soft wood or twigs. In early days we used its wood for cooking. And also liye- laa- jehun. Its leaf is ovaled like shape and dark green. We all know that the all leaves will fall in Yellow color. Some of the diseases causes to this tree is the leaf becomes white and sometimes it becomes black in color.


Dhunburi Gas
Dhunburi gas also can grow all over our nation. It grows 5-7 m long in its height. We use this tree’s wood for only for cooking in early history. Its wood is a soft wood. It gives us shade. Its leaf is long and oval liked shape and also to had a darked green leaves. This tree had a plenty of white milk like substance, and also leaf is little bit wider. Mainly this tree cause’s disease like the leaf becomes white and sometimes black another times very blacked color.
Hirundhu Gas
Hirundhu gas is a very common tree in Maldives. As a result of this we can see many trees in Male’. This tree usually grows to 5-7 m long in height. Its wood is not so hard. But we use this to make chairs, tables and also furniture. And also sometimes we use this wood for building boats. This tree is used for many purposes. It gives us shade. Some of the diseases causes to this tree are the leaves become black and sometimes white.
Kaani Gas
Kaani also grows in Maldives. And also it is a very common tree in Maldives. It also can grow 7m in height. Maldivians uses this tree’s wood for boat building. Its wood is hard and also we use it for liye- laa- jehun. It gives us shade. Its leaf shape one part of is long and another part is short. And also it is green colored leaf. Some of the diseases causes to this tree is sometimes the leaves becomes white and another time it becomes black. These are very common diseases that causes to trees in Maldives. But we can prevent it.
